HITLER ASKS WHY.
Remarkable • Interview Given in New York Paper. GERMANY'S "SUICIDE ARMY." (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 11. The Berlin correspondent of "The Times" states that a remarkable interview was published in New York and recabled to Berlin in which lierr Hitler demands to know "why the world sheds crocodile tears over the lot of a small minority of Jews.
'"Where was the world conscience when millions of Germans suffered hunger and 200,000 were driven to suicide?" ho asks. "I ask President Roosevelt and the American people if they are ready to take the polluters of the German Christiau soul. I would willingly give them a free ticket and £50 of pocket money to be rid of them.
"Shall I allow thousands of Germans to perish to enable Jews to live iii security? Am I responsible for the suicide army of post-war Germany which is three times as large as the first American Expeditionary Force?"
The correspondent emphasises that the annual post-war suicides in Germany are less than in 1913.
