ENGLISH FARMER.
COMING TO DOMINION. DAIRY QUOTA PROPOSALS. MR. FORBES' INVITATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. At the invitation of the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, a member of the National Farmers' Union in England is proceeding to New Zealand to discuss with Dominion farmers the effects of the quota proposals and the position of farmers in the United Kingdom. The following cable message was received to-day by Mr. W. J. Poison, president of the New Zealand Farmers' Union:—"Baxter, chairman.of our Milk Committee and Milk Mai-keting Board, left to-day (Friday) by the lonic to meet New Zealand farmers in response to the invitation of your Prime Minister to farmers here. Trust his visit will contribute to better understanding of the position by your members and that a satisfactory understanding will be reached.—(Signed) Gates."
