SATURDAY'S MATCHES.
PONSONBY STILL UNBEATEN
THISTLE SCORE HEAVY VICTORY.
A full programme of games was got off in the senior grade of the local Soccer competition on Saturday, when championship and cup tie matches were playc-d. Ponsonby and Comrades fulfilled their delayed Falcon Cup tie and also their second round game in the senior championship, and the former continued on their winning way. Shore United g r >t the better of Y.M.C.A. at Devonport in the Falcon Cun, while in the championship contests Thistle had an easy task to dedefeat Abels; Tramways and Glen lime; played a drawn game, and Onehunsm and New Lynn in their match both failed to score and also divided the noints. The scores for the day were as follows: —
Championship.—Ponsonby 2, boat Comrades 0. Thistle 8, beat Abels 2. North Shore 2. bent Y.M.C.A. 1. New Lynn 0. drew with Oneliunga 0. Glen limes 3, drew with Tramways 3 . Falcon Cup.—North Shore 2, beat Y.M.C.A. 1. Ponsonby 2, beat Comrades 0. The following table shows the positions of the teams in the championship: —
