DIOCESAN OLD GIRLS.

Always one of the outstanding functions of the year the Diocesan Old Girls' League's annual dance is anticipated for weeks previously. This year's dance, which took place at the Peter Pan Cabaret last evening, proved worthy of the anticipation. The pillars at the entrance to the cubicles and in the centre of the room were decorated with the school colours of blue and white, while bowls of Iceland poppies and jonquils brightened up the tables surrounding the dancing floor. Above the orchestral dais was suspended the school badge of blue and silver. A varied programme of the latest dance numbers was fully appreciated by the large number of dancers present. The guests were received on arrival by the president, Miss Edwards, who wore a frock of lacquer red georgette, and Miss Eleanor Roberton, the ex-president, who wore Burgundy red velvet.
