In the Auckland Badminton Association's inter-club competition for the Dart Shield, Central Club met Northern in the Manprere East Hall last niglit, and were successful in beating the home team by 7 rubbers to 4. A close match resulted between the Mangere Central and Mangere East Badminton Clubs, which met at the Central Hall, the former winning by 203 points to 202 thus avenging its defeat by the IJast Club by 2 points a fortnight before.
