HUNTING SEASON.
PAKURANGA CLUB. MEET AT HOWICK. The Pakuranga Hunt met at Howick on Saturday, and a good afternoon's sport •was enjoyed, several interesting runs being provided. Hounds were thrown off in Mr. J. T. Gill's property, and eventually put up a hare on Mr. Lucas' land, but it ran into barred property. Hounds found again on Mr. Gill's property, aud the hare ran into Mi'. Lucas' land, but also escaped into barred country. Another hare was put up on Mr. J. Wilson's land and ran on to Mr. H. Hattaway's farm, but it also got away in barred country. The hounds were then taken to Mr. Bell's property at Pakuranga, and a hare was started in some mangels. It took the hunt for a Rood run to Cascade Road, and doubled back along the edge of a creek to Mr. Bell's land, where it ran through a herd of cattle, and the scent wae .spoiled.
