KNOLLMERE SORE.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, Saturday. Knollmere schooled well yesterday over the hurdles, but was a bit sore afterwards as .a result of hitting himself. He was givbri a run over five furlongs this morning and hit out well, but afterwards was evidently still feeling the effects of the mishap. It had not been decided at the time of writing whether he would be taken to • Trentham for the first day's racing or not, but even if he does not run on Tuesday, hopes are entertained that he will be able to fulfil his engagements on the concluding days. He was in great fettle. .
