RECEPTION AND DANCE.

Tlic president and directors of the Auckland Rotary Club gave, a reception and dance in tlie Tudor Rooms ot'Milne and Choyce, Limited, last evening. The beautiful reception hall was very simply but artistically decorated in the club's colours, -with blue and silver draperies, and huge wheels of white with sprays of flowers and silver leaves were placed in the Tudor room, where supper was served. Mr. and Airs. Albert Russell rendered an item, and Mi'. Len Barnes also contributed a vocal solo. Boxes of; chocolates were presented to each lady present, and an enjoyable competition added to the evening's entertainment. The president, Mr. T. U. Wells, received the guests, and was assisted by Miss Catherine Wells, who wore lettuce green faille. A short address of welcome was given by the outgoing president, and the new president, Mr. S. J.
