EXPORTS TO AMERICA.
HEAVY-,, INCREASES,
The Canadian National Steamship's ship Canadian Cruiser will take the record shipment of New Zealand sheep's pelts' in one bottom to the United States, and a record shipment of New Zealand hides to Canada; also the largest shipment of slipe wool in one ship that' has been dispatched from New- Zealand to the great woo" centre of Boston (says the "Evening Post"). In addition the vessel will take heavy shipments of sheepskins in the wool for both Canada and the United States, and a large quantity of rabbit skins for the latter country. Exports to Canada and the United States have shown a marked tendency to increase during the past few weeks. The totals for the first four months of this year to both countries, compared with those of January-May, 1932, have been as under:— Four months. 1933. 1932. £ £ Canada 15G.271 108,598 U.S.A 191,586 223,075 The revival in the exports to both countries, however, has becomc most marked in the past month, and the full half-year's returns when available should show a decided increase in the shipments of New Zealand produce of many descriptions. 1
