SEAMAN RESISTS CONSTABLE.
"He was fighting drunk at the time, said Detective-Sergeant McHugh, in the Police Court this morning, when Helg Wo Sorenson, aged 40, seaman, appeared and pleaded guilty to charges of being disorderly while drunk in Victoria Street on Saturday; resisting Constable Williams and doing mischief by wilfully damaging the constable s uniform and helmet to the extent ot 14/. Mr. McHugh said Sorenson was employed on relief works, and had recently come to town. Sorenson was convicted on the charges and ordered to pay damages to .£2.
