HARRIERS.

TECHNICAL OLD BOYS. The Technical College Old Boys' Athletic Club held a harrier run on Saturday from the home of Mr. T. 11. Wilson, club vice-president, in Banfurly Road. The course of some 7j miles was all road with the exception of the climb over One Tree Ilill. The runs home resulted: — Slow Pack.—Day 1, Adams 2, Couln-tn 3, Gibbs 4. Intermediate Pack. —Barker 1, Harding 2, It. Brown 3, Dawson 4. Fast Pack.—Pelham and Cooper, deadheat,'l, Baper 3, White 4.

LYNNDALE, CLUB. The Lynndale Harrier Club held (heir annual novice championship and combined handicap race on Saturday, starting and finishing on the Western end of the Avondaie racecourse. The run was over cross-country towards Green Bay and back, a distance of 5J miles. A senior race, was run over the same course, starting 30m after the novice* rape. Results :— Novice Race.—The finish was :• K. Crompton, 49.17, 1 ; T. Clark, 49.20, 2 ; T. Hentshall, 4U.2G, 3. Swinburne,- Harris, McLean, Chappel, Woodcock and Hunter finished in -that Order. Seniors' Race.—The finish was : W: Brlggs, 44.18, 1; FoWlds,' 47.51, 2; Baker, 47.53, 3;'' R. Hentshall, 49.5: Brown, 40.0; Anderson, 53.22. Combined Handicap.—The result of the sealed handicap race between the seniors and novices was: W. Baker (6m), 41.55, 1; Wr-Briggs '(scr), 44.18, 2; It. Hentshall (3.30), 45.38, 3; It. WESLEY CLUB,

The J Wesley Club held a training run over a. course of about 5J miles, commencing i trpin the-Mt. Albert Grammar- School. Ail members are now In better form, It. Skyrine and A. Winstone making good time in the fast pack. Wynn, a newcomer, Is shrt\vin£ godd .promise. The results were: ' Slow Pack.—Marshall, Ellison, Harris and Maginniss. Fast Pack.—lt. Skyrme, A. Winstone, B. Verry and M. Green. ■ UNIVERSITY. CLUB. A race between the 'Varsity harriers and a team of cyclists was held on Saturday over a--croj3s-country course. The cyclists rode part of the journey, but had to carry their machines over the rough country and obstacles, It. Linn, cyclist was first to finish and S. Allan ; harrier, was second. ANNUAL ROAD RACE. The annual road race from Oneliunga to Auckland, promoted by the Technical College Old Boys' Athletic Club,' will be -held on July 8. Great interest is being taken this year, and all clubs will he striving to win the team race for the Wilson Road Cup. There will be a keen tussle for individual honours, as Savidan, the New Zealand Olympic representative, will be competing against Cooper, the present holder. With Browne, Briggs, Nicholson, Bradley and Pelham in good form, any of these runners may upset calculations for the fastest time honours. CALLIOPE CLUB. Running conditions were ideal on Saturday when the Calliope Harrier Club held a run over about nine miles of good country.. Three packs left with intervals of seven minutes between them, a good pace being set by all. Good form was shown by Andrews," Whitmore, Davis, and Davidson, while Dnimmond and Armour also showed up well. A run in of 300 yards resulted as follows:— A. E. Davis (22yds) - 1 L.
