CONSIGNMENTS FOR COUNTRY.
Over 400 pairs of boots have already been distributed to workers under the Unemployment Board's scheme from the depot 011 the top floor of the old Sbortland Street Post Office. The first consignments are for country districts. As tho boots are delivered from the factories they are sorted according to the orders received. By'noon to-day there were four bags of footwear ready for Whangarei, five for Hamilton, two for Paeroa, and one each for ITovrick and New Lynn. Each bag contains 31 pairs. The boots sent to fill the country orders are of specially heavy quality, and the consignments aro addressed to the certifying officers for the respective districts.
