ACTING' PRIME MINISTER.
TO-MORICOW'S ENGAGEMENTS. The acting-Prime Minister, Right Hon. J. G. Coates, will to-morrow receive a number of deputations, including one from the Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, and representatives of city business and commercial interests. In the forenoon a visit will be paid to the Devonport Naval Base, where Mr. Coates will informally inspect the relit H.M.s. Diomcde is now undergoing. The Minister will leave in the evening for Wellington. This morning Mr. Coates officially called on his Excellency the GovernorGeneral, Lord Bledisloe, at Government House, and in the afternoon attended th 6 second day of the.Auckland Racing CM>'s winter meeting. In the evening he is giving a dinner at the Grand Hotel to M. Edounrd Joubert, French Consul, and Commander Rosati and officers of the visiting French sloop.
Mr. Coates yesterday took part :in the celebrations associated with the consccration of the King's Colours of the Ist. 2nd and 3rd Battalions, the Auckland Regiment, N.Z.E.F.
