I OPENING OF AFRICAN TOUR. BEAT NATAL BY 11 POINTS. DURBAN, June 4. The Australian Rugby Union team, the Wallabies, were impressive in their opening match of the tour on Saturday, when they defeated Natal by 14 points to 3. There was a large attendance. The Natal players were superior in the tight scrums, discounting the speed of the visitors. The half-time score was: Australia C, Natal 0. The Wallabies' forwards weakened near the end of the match, and Natal secured a try.

GAMES IN THE PROVINCE.

MANUKAU. Tlic fourth round of (he Manulcnu Subunion was played at Clevedon and Papakura. Interest was focused on the Ilunuu v. Papakura game. This was the best of the series to date, both sides playing good Rugby. The Papakura team was one short and made a great battle of it. the game ending in favour of Ilunua by 17 to 15. The half-backs were brothers, Dr. Cross' sons, and played brilliantly. HAMILTON. In the first roprofentatlvc match of the season here, King Country defeated Waikato, 7—G. Walkato led C—o as the result of n try by Johnson and a penalty goal by Davies.
