AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Amateur Athletic Club held their fourth series of winter competitions in the Domain on Saturday in perfect weather. Results;— 75 Yards. —Final: R. Oliver 1, F. L. Adams 2, A. Clark 3. Time, 7 3-ss. A very close finish. ■ . . 3000 Yards. —The final lap saw Smith leading, with Dowle close up. Sprinting well Pinson closed up at the finish, which was won by Dowle, with only 4yds to spare from Pinson, with Allen 2yds away third, and Savidan another 2yds away in fourth place. " Time, 0.25. Savidan registered fastest time in 7.25. Putting the Shot.—D. N. Ross 1, E, Horan 2, W. G. Thompson 3. Throwing the Discus. —R. Owsley 1, S. Allen 2, L. M. Thompson 3. METCALFE ANOTHER RECORD. SYDNEY, May 28. Jack Metcalfe,' of Sydney University, in a hop-step-and-jump event covered 40ft ojin. This is an Australian record although it i* not pftcial.
