THE "HAT-TRICK."
ENID WILSON'S FEAT. Wins British Golf Title for Third Year. YOUNG PLAYER'S GAME FIGHT. (United I*.A. —Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 18. In the British women's golf championship final, at Gleneagles, Miss Enid Wilson defeated Miss Diana Plumpton 5—4, and achieved her ambition of completing the "hattrick" of successive titles, a feat unequalled since Lady Margaret Scott's record in 1593-4-i5.
Tlio 22-year-old plnver, Miss Plumpton, the Essex County player, reached the final for the first time and bent en route Misses Wanda Morgan and Diana Fisliwick. She is a game and plucky fighter, but Miss Wilson's powerful driving and long irons proved too good for her.
