HITLER CUE FROM MUSSOLINI. PARIS, May 18. "Le journal" comments that Herr Hitler took Signor Mussolini's cue and paraphrased Mr. Roosevelt. "If his acts confirm his words we Shall be delighted.'' "Le Petit Parisien" says: "Germany lias considerably improved her tactical position. France must play a smart hand to avoid being trapped." "Pertinax," in tlie "Echo de Paris," says: "Herr Hitler momentarily swapped his brown shirt for the official uniform." "Figaro" says; "The real purpose of the Reich is. seen in Herr von Papen's i-oaringi not in Herr Hitler's bleating." FOREIGN DEBTS. GERMANY'S HUGE TOTAL. BERLIN, May 18. Official statistics sho\V that Germany's total foreign indebtedness is between £1,200,000,000 and f 1j250,000,000. Britain is the fourth largest creditor* the amount owing to her being £111,500,000.
