Mr. R. W. Cleary has boon appointed sole teacher of the Mangaotnki School. At the annual meeting of the members of St. Luke's Church the accounts showed a satisfactory decrease in indebtedness. Mr. H. Hine was nominated vicar's warden, and Mr. A. Blackman was elected people's warden. Messrs. C. House, I. Hunt, W. Buck, L. Evans, -Dr. Isaac, and Mrs. Goodey, Miss MeLeod and Mrs. Teasdale were elected as members of the vestry. The unsettled weather of the past fortnight seems to have definitely changed for cold, clear nights and sunny days.
