LITIGATION SETTLED.
SCHOOL TEACHER'S CLAIM. A private settlement between the parties was reached in the Supreme Court to-day in the action in which George Frederick Horsfall, school teacher (Mr. Goldstine) claimed £1009 damages from G. R. Martyn, carrier, Mount Eden (Mr. Meredith and Mr. Wallace), arising out of a motor collision at Point Chevalier on May 14, 1932. Evidence for the defence was heard yesterday afternoon. Before the Court opened this morning, the jury viewed the scene of the accident, and when they returned it was announced that a settlement had been reached.
