NAVAL EXERCISES.
SPEEDY MANOEUVRES AGAIN. (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 17. Importance attaches to the British naval exercises, which will commence on May 23, in the North Sea over an area of 2400 square miles. Some ships will steam at full speed and others at three-quarters, marking the resumption of comparatively high-speed exercises, which were discontinued for two years owing to economy.
