TITLES OR NO TITLES.
POSITION IN CANADA RAISED. ..(Received 1.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, May 17. Titles will be restored to Canada with the announcement in the House of Commons of Mr. R. B. Bennett, Piime Minister, that the Government was not bound bv the 1919 Parliamentary resolution of abolition 011 the occasion of questions regarding the award of K.C.M.G. to Sir George Perlev. Mr. La Pointe declares that the Government is bound to consider'that titles are illegal, and Mr. W. F. Nickle, the sponsor of the abolition resolution, states that there is no question that the Government is bound, and he is conndent Parliament would vote the same way again.
