(Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, May 17. At the London tallow sales 1039 barrels were offered and 512 sold. Mutton was neglected. Other sorts sold at late rates tn sixpence advance. Quotations arc: — Mutton, fine, 24/3 per cwt; medium, ]S/6. Beef: Fine, 120/9; medium, 18/6.
