BRILLIANT OLD BOY.
NELSON COLLEGE HEAD. SCHOLAR AND ATHLETE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, this day. Out of 28 applicants, Mr. H. V. Searle, for eleven years on the staff of Nelson College, lias been selected by the Board of Governors for appointment as principal of Nelson College. Mr. Searle, who is 40 years of age, is an old bov of Waitaki High School and a graduate of Otago University He served in ilic war and was awarded a New Zealand Expeditionary Force scholarship at Cambridge, where lie graduated with an M.A. degree and was awarded a fellowship of the Lo "^ on Geographical Society. He also holds an M.Sc. degree (N.Z.), and is tlie possessor of outstanding athletic and rifle shooting records.
