Mr. W. P. Endean, M.P. for Parnell, leaves for the Soutli to-niglit. Mr. Malcolm Stewart leaves liy the Limited this evening for Dimcdin, via Nelson. Mr. Schurcck. Dominion representative of Warner Bros. Films, leaves for the South by the Limited to-night. Mr. W. Russell-Wood, of Auckland. will adjudicate at tbe Dunedin Competitions Society's annual festival in August. Mr. W. Appleton. a member of the Wellington City Council, accompanied by Mrs. Appleton, is a passenger on the Maunganui. The Hon. C. E. Macmill'an, Minister of Agriculture, and W. R. King, his private secretary, will leave for the Soutli to-morrow night. Mr. George McXaniara, secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department, arrived in Auckland by the Limited last night. He is at the Grand Hotel. The Hon. Adam Hamilton, Minister of Employment, and his private secretary, Mr. F.*M. Sherwood, \yill be leaving for the South to-night. They arc at the Grand Hotel. Mr. W. T. Tiithani has been appointed director of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., to fill the vacancy on the board created by the death of Mr. A. F. Wood. Instructor Captain F. M. Broadbcnt, formerly of the Royal Navy, arrived at Wellington on Monday, accompanied by his wife. They will visit their daughter at Geraldine, 'and expect to remain in N'ew Zealand for about a year. Mr. IT. B. Moore, clerk of the Wa.rkivorth Town Board, has resigned owing to ill-health. In accepting Mr. Moore's •resignation with regret, the board placed on record its appreciation of his services during , the past 12 years. Mr. W. Connor, who. sixteen years ago, was manager of Macky, Logan, Ltd., and who is now associated with largo maufacturing firms in England, arrived in Auckland two days ago. He expects to spend a week in Auckland before going South. Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P., attended tlie annual dinner of the Auckland Grammar School Old Boys' Association m London last month. Mr. Jordan is a member of the board of governors of the school, and this was the first occasion on which one of the governors had attended the London dinner.
Mr. T. C. List, governor nominee of Rotary in New Zealand, was a passenger on the Maunganui, which left for San Francisco yesterday. Mr. List will attend the Governors' Congress at Poland Springs, Maine. Afterwards he' will lie present at the International Conference at Boston, states a Press Association message from Wellington.
