UNWHOLESOME MEAT.
SOUTHERN BUTCHER FINED. (By Telegraph.—rress Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Charged with selling unwholesome meat, Kobert James Taylor, 'proprietor of a butchery business, was fined £7 and costs to-day by Mr. Hi A. Young, S.M., for exposing unwholesome meat for sale. He was convicted and ordered to pay costs. The health officer gave evidence that the meat was black, green and putrid, and either was very old or else was chilled meat that had been dried' oft'.
