FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES. A QUIET MORNING. A good list of sales was put through on the Auckland Stock Exchange at the last call yesterday, but this morning opened quietly; and no business was finalised in the room, though a couple were reported. One of these was of Wilson* Cement, which sold 9d higher, thus recovering part of the recent losses. At the. fresh bidding there were not many changes, but buyers reduced their offers for Government 4 per cent bonds &/, to £100 5/. 'As was the case yesterday, tho only parcel offering was one of V-)iG i pop cent, stock, for which the vendor asked £100 IS/. Banks and insurances were steady, the latter section at slightly lower values than ruled ton days ago. Northern Roller Mills had their first sale, since, being listed, at the 3.15 p.m. call yesterday, the price being £1 9/, niul at this morning's call buyers offered .C 1 7/ with holder* asking £1 10/. Auckland Harbour Hoard 0 per cents were in demand at. £103, and for these a seller asked £107. The Noon Call. A further casing of Id in Bank of New Zeulands was shown at the noon call, and further buyers' reduced their limits a penny lower, with holders unchanged. Australian Glass made a rise of 1/0 since the previous sale last month, and there were more offering at 0d higher. Wilsons Cement dropped hack 3d during the morning, and this change was refleeted in the later offers of buyers. ' An advance of ">/ in buyers' limits foi* Colonial Sugars brought in a seller at £50 10/. A parcel of British Tobacco, also, was available at 1/ above buyer's offers, which showed an even balance around April sale values.
