MISHAP IN LAUNCH.

ENGINEER INJURED. While berthing at the Silverdale wharf yesterday morning, the engineer, Mr. B. Soljak, of the launch Lady Eva, was injured as the result of the fourcylinder engine, which he was turning over with a bar for the purpose of starting, firing in one cylinder. This caused him to ho thrown violently against one of the deck beams. Mr. Soljak, who lives in the city, was taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital suffering from head injuries. His condition this morning was stated to be satisfactory. The manager of John Carey and Co., Ltd., by whom the boat is owned, said this morning that Mr. Soljak was thrown against the beam with a force equal to about thirty horse-power.
