YACHTING.

ALL CLUB FINALS. SAILED IN HARD BREEZE. The lack of wind the previous week, which caused several clubs to re-sail their final races, was more than compensated on Saturday by a hard sou'wester, which necessitated most of the boats tucking in two or tbree reefs. On the Manukau the Cruising Club held I a re-sail of the general handicap which was not completed the previous Saturday, within the time limit of 6 p.m. Aoma, well sailed by Gordon. May and a crew of seven, had an [ easy win over Charm and Miss Mac, the I only other competitors. Ranui was ready to start when her jib carried away, and before it could be reset she touched the breakwater nnd smashed her rudder. The Wakatere Club's races off Narrow Neck were postponed for the day, when several events were held in spite of the weather. The Takapuna Club's races were also postponed for the same reason. The Point Chevalier Club held their final event, the general handicap for the Rawhiti 1 trophy, which was won by Aileen. This , completes all club racing for the season. r MANUKAU CRUISING CLUB. This club's final race was held on Saturday in a hard sou'-wester. Only Aoma, ; Charm and Miss Mac started. The course was two rounds of No. 2, rounding the sixth buoy off Waikowhai, ; which gave the boats a long beat down , harbour, and a quick run home. They were sent off with handicaps at the start. Charm, ; on the 21m mark, had four reefs in, and was first away. Miss Mac and Aoma had two reefs down. Miss Mac lost time by putting in a third reef after starting, and she never bad a chance, eventually retiring. On the first beat down to Waikowhai 1 Aoma did so well that she caught Charm, 1 rounding at 3h 58m, with Charm at 4h 15m. Miss Mac was still under the western shore and a long way astern. On the second round Aoma did even better, working well over on the Mangere shore. She rounded the weather mark for the second time at 4h 46m 30s, Charm being over 20m behind. With sheets free Aoma made fast time to the finishing line off Onehunga wharf and finished at 5h 2m 225, an easy winner, with Charm nearly 50m later. Aoma wins the points prize for the season, and Charm the Fearon Handicap Cup. This concludes the club's season, which has been quite a good one. Aoma, the winner, was built 34 years ago by Logan Bros, for the Fearnley brothers, of Otahuhu. POINT CHEVALIER CLUB. The Point Chevalier Sailing Club held the final race of the season yesterday, when r the Rawhiti trophy was won by Aileen. j The race started at 3 p.m. in a hard sou-west I wind, causing all to reef down. The breeze > eased up towards the finish of the race, and nearly all the boats shook out to full sail. The finish was: —Drone (2m), 4h 52m 17s; Aileen (7m), 4h 52m 48s; Martha S.
