NIAGARA IN PORT. HORORATA TO DISCHARGE. Two overseas ships arrived at Auckland this morning, the steamer Port Hunter, from Liverpool, berthing at the Queen's wharf, and the E.M.s. Niagara, from Sydney, at the Prince's wharf, Whence she is to sail for Vancouver, via Suva and Honolulu, at 11 a.m. tomorrow. The steamer Dalmore, which arrived from Java on Saturday afternoon, berthed at Chelsea yesterday morning to discharge her cargo of raw sugar. RUAHINE FROM LONDON. En route from London to Wellington, the N.Z.S. Company's passenger steamer Ruahlne cleared Suva on Saturday. She is due at Wellington on Wednesday next. NIAGARA IN PORT. Arriving from Sydney this morning, the Union Company's R.M.s. Niagara berthed at the Prince's wharf, whence she Is to sail for Vancouver, via Suva and Honolulu at -11 a.m. to-morrow. HORORATA TO-NIGHT. Due at Auckland from Antwerp, via Hull and Sydney at 10 p.m. to-day, the N.Z.S. Company's steamer Hororata is to berth at the King's wharf to-morrow morning to discharge her cargo of basic slag. THE PORT HUNTER. From Liverpool, the C. and D. Line steamer Port Hunter arrived at Auckland this morning, and commenced discharge'at the Queen's wharf. From here she Is to go to Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru. THE PORT MELBOURNE. For final homeward loading at the Central wharf, the C. and D. Line steamer Port Melbourne is due at Auckland from Gisborne to-morrow night. She is scheduled to clear Auckland for London, via Cape Horn, on Friday. WARNING TO MARINERS. The Marine Department advises that the signal station near Whakatane entrance, Bny of Plenty, has been discontinued, and will be dismantled at a later date. In future vessels approaching the maximum draft for working the port should not proceed Inwards until information as to the existing depths Is received from the Harbour Board launch, which will meet ! vessels outside the entrance. If the launch does not come out, it must be assumed that: the port is unworkable, cither from too | much sea or Insufficient depths. Vessels of lesser draft, if requiring similar information, should call the launch by sounding three long blasts on the whistle or exhibiting flag Z at the masthead. *

The Canopus sailed for Westport on Saturday night. H.M.s. Laburnum returned from her Southern cruise last night /and berthed at the Sheerlegs wharf. The Shell Company's coastal tanker Paua is due from Wellington to-morrow morning to berth at the Western wharf. The motor ship Port Waikato arrived from the South on Saturday night to discharge at the Central wharf. She is to sail for Whangarei this evening. With passengers, mails and cargo from Sydney, the Union Company's steamer Monowai is due at Wellington to-day.
