BOBBY CALVES.
COLLECTION IN WAIKATO. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. An important innovation connected with the New Zealand Co-operative Pig Marketing Association is announced. It is proposed to use the collecting organisation to gather bobby calves in the Waikato. The affairs of this phase of the association's activities will be kept entirely separate from that relating to pigs, and will be conducted on a purely co-operative basis. Calves will be bought for cash at the farmer's gate, payment being made according to weight at the time of taking delivery. Arrangements have been made to receive early calves as soon as they appear.
