THAMES ASSOCIATION. The Thames Hockey Association opened its season on Saturday with a five-a-sidc tournament, High School being the winners in the men's competition and- Kopuarahi the ladies. Nine men's and four ladies' teams competed. RODNEY ASSOCIATION. Play in the first round of the Eodney Hockey Association's competition on Saturday resulted :•—Port Albert 3, v. Matabana 1; Omaha 2, v. Kaipara Flats 1 ; Dome Valley 7, v. Warbworth 3. Results in the ladies' association matches were: —Matakana 4, v. Port Albert 3; Wellsforcl 1, v. Kaipara Flats 1.
