The Franklin Racing Club held its extra meeting at Pukekolle to-day in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance at the outset, when the course was in excellent order. The Opening Event. Biforrn, Unoco and Free Air carried most money in the Bombay Hurdles, with which the meeting opened. The Hiker soon went to the front and led i past the stand, with Principal, Arch Eagle, Master Holey, Wee Prince and Wilton in attendance. Along the back the order was The Hiker, Arch Lagle, Principal, Master Roley, Wee Prince, Biforrn, Zane Grey, and Free Air. Crossin" the top The Hiker, Principal and Arch Eagle were together in front, followed by Master Roley, Wee Prince and Free Air, Biforrn falling at this stage. Wilton fell along the back and Biform came down crossing the top. Another Favourite Beaten. There were four withdrawals from the Pukekawa Handicap, leaving a field of IG, of which the best backed were Diversion, Mks Lulu, Twenty-Four Carat and Hushing. Tahae Mea was the initial leader, but when the field had settled down Hushing was in charge from Notamint, Kind Words, Tahae Mea, Diversion and Tiny Star. By the time the top was reached Diversion had. run to the front from Hushing, Miss Lulu, Tahae Mea, Notamint, Kind Words, Golden Spahi and Tiny Star. Diversion was first into line from Val Watch, Hushing, Tahae Mea, Notamint and Transaction. Miss Lulu was fourth, followed by Kind Words, Musgo, Tiny Star and Revelation. An Outsider Scores. Landlubber, Puss Moth and Royal Gallant received most support for the first division of the Harrisville Hack, for which half a dozen horses were withdrawn. Crossing the top Landlubber and Puss Moth were together, with Intaglio, Royal Gallant and Catch 'Em next, and Thespis last.
