PALMERSTON NORTH, this day.
In a statement to the ratepayers' meeting, the Mayor, Mr. Mansford, who was returned unopposed, said losses totalling £19,245 had been accumulated in the City Council's bus transit department. Loan indebtedness and other liabilities of this service were £24,109, and the liabilities exceeded the assets by £14,717.
