YOUNG SOLDIERS AT THE WAR.
At the age of sixteen Santa Singh, of Victoria Street, Auckland, went to France with the Indian troops, serving with the 58th Rifles (Sikh) Regiment in 1914. He was moved to Gallipoli. for the landing in ApriK 1915, and served right through the war. I would like to point out to the New Zealand people that the Indian troops lost 00,000 men in the war, all voluntary enlistments. W. MALTBY.
