RADIO SUBSIDY.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON - , Thursday. A public meeting, described as the largest ever held in the City Council chambers, last evening decided to enter the strongest protest against the Radio Broadcasting Board's refusal to grant the local station, 2ZR, a subsidy. Reception at Nelson from the New Zealand main stations is usually poor,, and listeners feel that they are thoroughly justified in seeking support for the local station. The board has been asked to reconsider the decision.
