BASKETBALL.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. At a meeting of the management committee of the Auckland Basketball Association, it was decided to commence the season with a 'knock-out tournament on Saturday, May 6. Bach senior club has been requested to provide at least three referees for the winter. Miss Blanche Lee, for several years captain of the Auckland representative team, has been appointed official coach for the senior representatives. In the event of" bad weather on any •Saturday, the postponement committee (Miss Stonex and Mr. Lowe) will meet at 11.45 a.m., and its decision mar tie ascertained by ringing the courts (phoi. .3-661). The Windmill Road courts have been sublet for Tuesday afternoons to the Seddon Memorial Technical College.
