CHURCH MEETINGS.
ST. PAUL'S PARISHIONERS. The annual meeting of the parishioners of St. Paul's Church took place last night. The vicar, the Rev. Cecil A. B. Watson, presided over a large attendance. The report and balance-sheet showed a satisfactory financial position. General offertories showed an increase of £21 over those of the previous year. The introduction of bags instead of collection plates had been appreciated, and offerings had increased during the months the new system had been in vogue. The church completion fund was growing steadily and now stood at £3408. The poor fund had been well supported. The fellowship weekly socials, instituted last winter, had been keenly appreciated by all sections, and the recent Passion pageant had proved a wonderful inspiration. The missions quota was unfortunately much behind "at present. Cordial votes of thanks were passed to the choir, servers and all workers. The following were elected officers for the current year:—Vicar's warden, Mr. Thos. Davies; people's warden, Mr. E. C. Thomas; vestrv, Messrs. S. Betts, J. W. Hollis, A. J. Horsley, H. Jillings, J. C. Keller, T. A. Lappin, F. S. T. Little, D. Neal, H. J. Newbery, E. Robson; auditors, Messrs. C. F. Cork, F.N.Z.A.A., and A. E. Malins.
