MOUNT ROSKILL ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of the Mount Roskill Road Board was held last night, Mr. G. M. McCullough presiding. ■■'.'■
Mount Albert Road.—The foreman is to prepare estimates for the concreting of the remaining portion of Mount Albert Road. Mr. R. F. Sanft remarked that the board had £1500 for this work, left over from the quarry loan.
' Water for Schools.—The board adopted a recommendation of a special committee to accept the sum of £70 owing by the Mount Roskill schools, and to allow 500 gallons of free water per child per annum, all excess water to toe charged for at lOd per 1000 gallons, which is cost price to the board.
Road Races.—The board declined the request of the Ladies' Bicycle Club to bold road' races in Mount Roskill.
Penalty on Rates.—The_board agreed to remit the 10 per cent penalty on rates owing by several ratepayers, as the amount owimr in each" case was small.
