CHAIN OF THEATRES.
WELLINGTON'S NEW CINEMA.
Just returned from a visit south, Mr. ST. ,T. Mooclabe, governing director of Amalgamated Theatres, lias completed arrangements -with Mr. C. J. B. Norwood, ex-Mayor of Wellington, and present chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board, for the erection of a pa.latial picture theatre in the Empire City. Plans have been prepared for a building which will be the finest one-floor theatre in the Dominion. It will have royal boxes, am be reminiscent of ancient English Architecture. This theatre will complete a chain whic> gives Amalgamated Theatres a theatre in every city and town of importance in the Dominion. Mr. Moodabe said this morning that Amalgamated Theatres were at present carrying out very important negotiations concerning the picture business, but until these negotiations were finalised ho preferred not to make any announcement. i
