REORGANISATION.
COMMITTEE HARD AT WORK,

WELLINGTON, -.Is day. The representative committee associated with the dairying industry which was set np following a conference called by the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. C. E. Macmillan, held a long meeting in Wellington this week, the proceedings lasting all day until 6.30 p.m., with the Minister presiding most of the time.
There are representatives of the DeBepartment of Agriculture, Research Department, Dairy Board, dairy ~ factories and commercial interests on the committee, which was set lip to carry out a number of important recommenda- . tions from the conference, approved by the Minister, under which there will be . more regulation of the industry with a i view to securing improved milk supply, '('while problems associated with the J manufacture of cheese are to be investigated. At the last meeting, detailed < proposals for carrying out these plans 3 were discussed and submitted to the j Minister, and it is felt that the difScul- ; ties in the industry are now being firmly J faced, and that an earnest attempt is J .being made to achieve successful results *in the improvement of cheese quality.
