FARM IiABOTTRER SENTENCED.
Albert Oliver Robinson, aged 19, farm labourer, appeared in the Police Court; to-day on three charges of _ stealing a gramophone,' groceries and tinned foods of total value of £9 8/ from three baches, at Muriwai.
Detective-Sergeant McHugh said Robinson lived alone in a bach at Muriwai, and for some months past'he had been suspected of breaking into other baches and stealing. He was admitted to probation in March of 1931 for a period of two years for • similar offences. Remarking that Robinson had previously been given a chance and that he could not be relied upon, the magistrate committed him to the Waikeria Borstal for 12 months. • :
