ORDERS CANCELLED.
RECORDER'S SAILING. The departure of the cable steamer Recorder for sea has been postponed indefinitely. Orders were received yesterday for the vessel to prepare for sea. She was to berth, at the King's wharf to-day to load stores and sign on a crew, and was to be ready to sail on Tuesday. Her destination was not announced, but it was expected aboard the ship that she would go to Sydney to repair the Australian end of the New Zealand-Australia cable. These orders were cancelled to-day, and the Recorder is remaining at her moorings off Devonport.
