POISON CHARGE.
NURSE KERR'S TRIAL. DATE OF THIRD HEARING. FIXED FOR MAY EIGHTH. The third trial of Nurse Elspeth Kerr, charged with administering poison, veronal, to her foster child, Betty Kerr, With intent to injure, thereby endanger* ing life, has been .set down for'hearing in the Supreme Court on Monday, May 8. Accused, who has been in prison on remand for close on 10 months, has twice previously been tried, but on each occasion the jury disagreed. Mr. It. A. Singer, who appeared for Nurse Kerr at both trials, will again be her advocate.
