Englishman Found With "Red" Documents. JEWISH WAR HERO SHOT. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 12. Replying to a question in the House of Commons, Sir John Simon, Foreign Secretary, said an Englishman, Mr. Geoffrey Fraser, was arrested in Berlin on April 4 because he was in possession of Communist documents, including matter relating to subversive propaganda and untrue statements regarding atrocities in Germany.

He was further suspected of the intention of spreading these untrue reports amongst the German Army and police. The final indictment is not yet drawn up.

Arrangements have been made for the British Consul to visit Mr. Fraser tomorrow. He has received every consideration at the hands of the police and is reported to be in good health.

"The Times" Berlin 'correspondent states that men in Nazi uniforms at Chemnitz at night raided the home of Dr. Wciner, a well-known Jewish lawyer, who served with distinction during the war. The Nazis produced a warrant for his arrest and removed him in a motor car. His bullet-riddled body was later found in the countrywide. The police declare that the warrant was fictitious.

An imprisoned Communist named Zitau, was shot dead by a Nazi "while attempting to escape."

Numbers of Jews continue to take refuge in England from Germany. The latest arrivals include a judge, several barristers, literary men, doctors, musicians and businessmen. The majority have found a welcome in London among Jewish families and only about a dozen are in temporary shelter.

Tlio late Herr Streseinan's People's party is rapidly disappearing in Germany. At its headquarters it is stated tliat the party places itself at the disposal of the new regime pending further political developments. A number of branches, however, are dissolving themselves and the members are joining the Nazis.
