ONLY A RUMOUR.
For weeks past there has been a rumour widely circulated in Auckland that a girl had been found suffering from leprosy. From day to day the residence of the supposed suffered changed, but so persistent was the rumour that many people gave it credence. The case was carefully' (investigated by the medical officer of health for Auckland (Dr. T. J. Hughes) and found to be entirely without foundation.
