SALVATION ARMY.

JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS.

TO CLOSE TUESDAY NIGHT.

The celebration of the Salvation Army jubilee was continued to-day. The morning was free, but in the afternoon an old identities' meeting was held at the Congress Hall. All surviving associates of the early organisation of the Salvation Army 40 to 50 years ago were present, and the meeting was a particularly happy one. A thanksgiving service, preceded by a jubilee tea in Trinity Hall, Queen Street at 5 o'clock, will be held this evening. To-morrow there will be meetings at 7 a.ni., 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m., all of which will be conducted by Commissioner J. Cunningham in the Congress Hall and in each of the suburban halls various delegates will be conducting jubilee celebrations there. Tomorrow is the 104 th anniversary of William W. Booth's birth. On Monday, at 3 o'clock, there will be founders' (William and Catherine Booth) celebrations in Congress Hall. In the evening there will be a musical festival in the same hall. Tuesday morning and afternoon will be taken up with officers' councils, while in the evening, at 7.30, there will be a young people's demonstration of music, elocution, drill and tableau items in the Town Hall. The southern delegates depart on Wednesday. Commissioner Cunningham will leave on Wednesday for Rotoroa and Pakatoa Islands on business. He will conduct Easter services at Hamilton.
