TO CARRY ON. CANTERBURY SOCCER ASSOCIATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. By 22 votes to 11 a special meeting of the Canterbury Football Association rejected a motion in favour of voluntarily winding up. The financial statement showed a deficit of £ 857. The majority of the speakers said that if the clubs pulled together the position could be retrieved, and the creditors appeared to be sympathetic. HTJNTLY D.P.S. ASSOCIATION. The Huntly and District Primary Schools' Soccer Football Association held Its annual meeting in the Huntly school on Wednesday evening, Mr. R. C. D. Llghtbourne presiding. The balance sheet showed a credit of £16, despite the cost of sending the Webster Shield team to Wellington, which amounted to over £40. Prospects for the coming season are very bright, there being over fifty Huntly boys •who will be playing for the Soccer code this season. Officers for the ensiling year:—President, Mr. J. Wallace; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. P. Honnor; auditor, Mr. J. Porteous. Committee: Messrs. G. Baker, C Bowron, J. Douglas, sen., W. Donaldson J. Hall, J. Kiog, J. Maxwell, F. Stevens, and the headmasters of the competing schools. Messrs. J. Douglas, J. Wallace and C. Bowron were elected as selectors. A special vote of thanks was passed to the referees who officiated last season. Elay will commence on April 20, and the draw is in the hands of Messrs. Douglas, King, and Wallace.
