INDOOR BOWLING.
AUCKLAND FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
The sixth annual meeting of the Auckland Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling Association was held in the Trades Hall, Hobson Street. Bro. F. A. Harris presided over a large and enthusiastic meeting of delegates The annual report and balance sheet showed the affairs of the association to be in a flourishing condition. Although tourney entrance fees had been reduced 25 per cent, It had not resulted in any loss in revenue and for this year an . additional scheme is under consideration whereby unemployed members may be totally freed of entrance fees.
The election of officers resulted:—President, Bro. Frank Harris; vice-president, Bro. Fred Hammond ; immediate past president, Bro. W. H. Drew ; secretary-treasurer, Bro. Geo. F. Day; management committee, Bros. C. J. Skinner an* another, A.0.F.; J. Mansell and J. Spelr. L.O.Li.; A. .Tonkin and A. Beer, 1.0. K.; C. Gllfoylc and H. Dickinson, U.A.0.D.; V. Queenin and F. Wilkins, 1.0.0. F.; J. . Tyndall and W. Veitch, M.D.1.0.0.F.; H. Phillips, jun., and C. Eaton, N.1.0.0.F.; H. Wright and F. Lucas, W.M.C. Auditor. Mr. Thco. J. Spry. The Orange Bowling Association will hold its official opening for the 1033 season on Monday night at the Druids' Hal], North Street.
