PROVINCIAL NEWS.
WHANGAREI. Miss Lavinia Kokich has returned home after seven weeks' enjoyable holiday with relatives and friends in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Fairfax Moresby, of Manse Street, are leaving shortly for Kaikohe, where Mr. Moresby has been transferred. Last Monday, night a surprise party visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Dent, Seaview Road, the occasion being Miss Audrey Dent's 21st birthday. A pleasant evening was spent by all. The older members of the party passed the- evening playing cards, while the younger folk indulged in games, dancing and song. A special feature of the evening was the cutting of a beautifully decorated cake, bearing the usual 21 candles. Miss Audrey was the recipient of a number of beautiful presents. ; «...
