<NO SERIOUS IRREGULARITIES' "Tliere is nothing in the report of the committee of inquiry set up to suggest that them nr. any serious irregularities, *aid Sir George Richardson tins morning. Sir George said that recently there had been sinister and harmful rumours circulated in connection with the Returned Soldiers' Association, one being that the executive was organising a political organisation to oppose constitutional .■minority. As a result the R.S.A. was aeked to set up a committee of inquiry, and give the complainants an opportunity to come forward and prove their charges. The inquiry was duly arranged, but no complainants tame forward to give evidence. Sir George said that it was proposed to read the report at last night's meeting, but there was obviously a section of men who wanted to prevent it being made public. The report would now be circulated amonest the members. "That," said Sir George, "is the whole position in a nutshell. I hope that the public will not be prejudiced against the Returned Soldiers' Association owing to the unseemly behaviour of a few members."
